I would be remiss if I did not include The Eugene Saturday Market on this page. I worked for the market for 12 years. It is an awesome and unique slice of Americana. I highly recommend it if you are traveling through Oregon. Located in Eugene, on the corner of 8th and Oak, it is one of the longest continuous running open air marketplace in the US. The wares sold at market are all hand made and it is a special thing in this day and age of imported everything to go purchase a unique hand made item and actually get to talk to the person who made it or visit the site and go to the Artisans link and buy online.  The Lane County Farmer’s Market across the street has locally grown produce, organic and non-organic cheeses, meats and vegetables as well as plant starts and flowers.
